5 Minute Bread

My only successful attempt at bread-making has been the no-knead recipe, but I'm going to have to try Dr. Hertzberg's recipe for simple crusty bread from his book, Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a Day. It sounds just as easy, takes less time to come together, and appears to yield great results.
I have the book, and it's pretty easy. Curious if anyone has tried the sweet breads and desserts. The plain, savory, and pizzas are fantastic.

I'm so curious . . . how'd it turn out?

Well I just ended up buying the book, so I'll let you know if I find out first ;-).

Sadly, not so hot but perhaps it was my own user error. I had much better luck with Lahey's no-knead recipe, which I suspect is a more forgiving recipe.

Hi Aaina,
I'm just now finding this post on the bread. Thank you for trying it and I'd love to hear more about your experience with the book.
We have an errata sheet posted at our websites of all the mistakes we failed ot catch during the editing:

Thanks for sharing the book with your readers and please be in touch if you have any questions about the bread!
